THE PLAY: Getafe +0.5 (-130)
Under absolutely no circumstances should relegation-threatened Cadiz be favored (on the 3-way line) like this, unless they are facing last place (and already condemned) Almeria. The reason for the price here is the ol' “must win tax" as Cadiz desperately needs all three points from this fixture to keep its fleeting hopes of remaining in the Spanish top flight.
But calling for a Cadiz win seems foolish, given the Yellow Submarine have taken max points in only four matches all season. They have just ONE win against a non-bottom three side since September 1st! So I'll gladly take the “half goal head start” with mid-table Getafe, who are unbeaten in the last five meetings with Cadiz, including a 1-0 victory in the reverse earlier this season.
Now Getafe's away record does leave a lot to be desired, but they did win at Almeria (3-1) two weeks ago before losing at home to Atletico Madrid last week. That latter result was highly misleading however, as the Deep Blue Ones actually won the xG battle 4.42-0.93! That also snapped a three-match unbeaten run. Of the three possible outcomes here, I would rank a draw and a Getafe win both above Cadiz winning. So take the +0.5.
