Backing the Buckeyes over the Hoosiers in the Big 10 Conference Championship Game. Kickoff at 5pm PT on FOX. The first #1 vs #2 ranked matchup in a conference championship game since 2009 (Alabama vs Florida).
Ohio State has been an absolute wagon going (11-1) against the spread. The defense has been lights out, letting up less than 8 points per game. They have not let up more than 16 points in any game all season. It has been a great year for Indiana, but this is a big step up in class. The Hoosiers rank outside the top (#50) nationally in strength of schedule. I doubt the Indiana offense looks nearly as crisp against this Ohio State defensive front. The Red Raiders have the best roster that money (25 Million) can buy. Rumors have it that they rank 2nd to Texas in NIL spending for this season. They have certainly got their money's worth, ranking #1 in the BIG12 in scoring defense allowing 11 points per game, #1 in total defense allowing 259 yards per game. They have a record of 11-1, and the only loss came on the road at last year's BIG12 champions Arizona State. The Red Raiders had their backup QB under center in that game. All eight of their conference wins came by a margin of 20+ points. They beat BYU 29-7 at home a few weeks ago, and I just don't think a neutral site game (in Texas) is going to cut that margin in half.
