THE PLAY: Total Over 167.0 (-110)
Over 167
In three head-to-head meetings last season, these two teams combined for 174+ points in each matchup, consistently clearing this total. The Indiana Fever played at the second-fastest pace in the WNBA last year and paired that with the second-worst defense—a reliable recipe for high-scoring games.
Indiana is even more offensively equipped this season. Sophie Cunningham looked healthy in recent practice and confirmed she’s ready to go, adding another strong perimeter shooter to the mix. The Fever also added Damiris Dantas, whose shooting and floor-spacing will give the offense even more versatility.
On the other side, the Chicago Sky have improved their backcourt significantly, bringing in Ariel Atkins, veteran Courtney Vandersloot, and rookie Hailey Van Lith. This new guard rotation adds both scoring and stability, which should help keep the Sky competitive and productive offensively.
With both teams featuring increased shooting depth and up-tempo playstyles, this total is very much in range. The trends and personnel all point toward another high-scoring contest.

Consultant Bio
My name is Hakeem Profit, and I have followed the NBA since the 90s, but I have been betting professionally for 6+ years. The game continues to change, but one thing remains the same. In an 82-game season, it is extremely difficult to get up for every game. We work to identify the situations/spots that give one team an advantage or disadvantage and live with the results of making a good bet. Personally, the NBA is the easiest for me to identify edges. As a result, last season was the first year I gave volume betting a shot, and it was a success! When you have an edge in a game, you bet it! One thing I've started doing is creating my own line similar to a -1 in baseball or hockey, which allows me to better take advantage of situations based on implied probability. Last season, after a dreadful first two weeks (being too aggressive too early without data), I gained 92.17 units on 902 NBA plays for an overall gain of about 45 units. This season, we will clean up the start of the year and look forward to an even more profitable 2022-23 NBA season!
*An NBA play will not change unless the line move is 3 points or more
