THE PLAY: Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp -110

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre currently has the best record in AAA baseball which is somewhat surprising to be since the RailRiders rate out average at best in most offensive metrics. Scranton has done it with EXCEPTIONAL pitching, the Yankees are loaded with good pitching at the AAA level right now but the Riders have burned up their better relievers the past couple days and I think it makes them vulnerable here.

Scranton starter Edgar Barclay is having a solid season but he will square off with Max Meyer for Jacksonville who probably should be on the Marlins right now and not the Jumbo Shrimp. I think you can say that for a few guys on Jacksonville's roster, Victor Mesa Jr has played well enough to deserve a call up and you could probably say the same about Tristian Grey given the way the Marlins have played this year.

Jake Burger was in the Jacksonville lineup on Wednesday as part of a rehab assignment and I didn't see anything about him being called back up to the Marlins yet so we could see him feature again today.

Jacksonville has lost the first three games of this series so I think we see Meyer (better SP IMO) to the Jumbo Shrimp top bullpen arms and that's good enough for me to take a shot at -110 odds on their home diamond.

Adam has been a Professional Sports Handicapper for the past decade since founding Top Flight Sports with one of his Siena College roommates back in 2013.
