I disagree with the Dodgers money so I'm going to come back with the Jays here (which I nearly did yesterday but thankfully the +1.5 was out of my price range).

I get the Dodgers are a really good team but if ANY other team trotted a struggling reliever (in this case Michael Grove) out for a start with Kevin Gausman on the rubber for the other team it would be a 20 cent move toward the team with the proven starter not the struggling relief pitcher.

Even if the Jays give some guys a day off today I'm fine with it as this Jays lineup has been ice cold and a shake up might be what this team needs to get the bats going.

The Jays have lost five straight so all of their good relievers are rested and Gausman was a lot better in his two recent starts against the Royals and Yankees so I'll hope he can continue to put it together against another solid lineup.

I'm still very high on this Jays team despite their recent swoon and this might be a scenario where if the Jays win I ride them until they lose because I do think that type of “correction” is coming against what should be a more reasonable schedule from this point forward.
