Analysis

I have Hanwha the better of these two teams and still think Hyun-Jin Ryu is superior to Wes Benjamin.

Hanwha has fallen off from the beginning of the season but the Eagles shouldn't be a dog to the 8-18-1 Wiz with Ryu on the mound.

Ryu's slow start in his return to South Korea has been well documented but he was excellent in his most recent start at NC where we went a season high 7 innings with 8 strikeouts giving up all three runs on a 3 run home run in the only inning the Dinos really did anything against him.

I still think Wes Benjamin is a solid import starter in KBO but he was slightly more hittable in Year 2 (last season) than he was his first year in Korea and the jury is still out on what Benjamin will be in Year 3 (WHIP is good at 1.11 but has a 5.46 ERA and was blasted by this Hanwha lineup earlier this season)

On one hand you could say one bad start has inflated Benjamin's numbers but it's important to point out that bad start was against this Hanwha team who tagged Benjamin for 11 runs on 11 hits in just 3 innings.  Hanwha just got one of their top right handed bats back in Eun-Seong Chae so now the Yonathan Perlaza, Si-Hwan Roh, Chae and Tae-Yaen Kim “heart” of the order is back in tact.

KT needed all of their top RP's and five in total to hold off a late rally by the Eagles in Tuesday's game and the Wiz have a league worst 7.75 bullpen ERA so I give Hanwha a nice bullpen edge here.  I like Ryu to set the tone and Hanwha to bounce back with a needed win.

Play on Hanwha Eagles +105 for 4% (or 4 units)
