LIV Golf New York Course: Trump National Golf Club (Bedminster)

LIV Golf returns to Trump National Golf Club Bedminster for LIV Golf New York, one of the league’s marquee events and one of the final stops before the season-ending championships.

The Tom Fazio-designed course is a par-72 measuring approximately 7,580 yards, combining championship length with dramatic elevation changes, rolling fairways, and immaculate Bentgrass greens.

Bedminster rewards players who can drive the ball long and accurately, but the real challenge comes on approach shots. Water hazards, deep bunkers, and elevated green complexes place a premium on distance control, while the large, undulating greens can quickly turn birdie chances into difficult two-putts.

The course offers several reachable par-5s, but they are balanced by a collection of long, demanding par-4s that require elite ball-striking from tee to green.

The layout is built to reward aggressive golf without giving away easy birdies. Players who stay in position off the tee and capitalize on the scoring holes will have an advantage, but one loose swing can quickly lead to trouble.

With four rounds to separate the field, Bedminster provides a complete test where power, precision, and patience are all required to contend for the title.

LIV Golf New York Predictions: Head to Head

Talor Gooch (-120) over Sergio Garcia

This matchup comes down to consistency, and Talor Gooch has been the more reliable player throughout the 2026 LIV Golf season. While Sergio Garcia has flashed his upside with a strong performance at LIV Andalucía, that result came at one of his favorite courses in the world.

Outside of that event, his form has been much more uneven, with finishes of 42nd and 29th, plus several other results outside the Top 30. (Pro Golf Weekly)

Gooch hasn’t necessarily contended for every title, but he’s consistently put himself in position for solid finishes. He has seven Top-25 finishes this season, avoiding the volatility that has plagued Garcia for much of the year. That steady level of play is exactly what you want in a head-to-head matchup.

Course history also leans toward Gooch. Although it was a couple of years ago, he finished comfortably ahead of Garcia at this venue, and the layout has historically suited his game. With Gooch arriving in steadier form and Garcia’s best result coming on a course that uniquely fits his eye, this is a favorable spot to back the more consistent golfer.

Gooch has been the steadier performer all season, and with Garcia’s recent highs looking more like exceptions than the norm, Talor Gooch over Sergio Garcia is the play.
