MLB Home Run Prop Best Bet of the Day #1: Salvador Perez (KC) +520

Although Salvador Perez isn’t putting up the numbers how he has in year’s past, we get some great value taking him to hit his home run prop tonight at +520 as the Royals and Blue Jays battle in Toronto.

Perez looks to extend a five-game hitting streak as the Royals go for their ninth-straight win overall. Max Scherzer gets the start for Toronto struggling in limited action this season allowing 12 home runs in 45 total innings with nine of those coming at home in just 27 innings pitched.

In August Perez is batting a modest .269 while slugging .481 but he’s started to pick it up over the last week batting .364 and slugging .591 with 13 of his 17 home runs coming against right handed pitching this season.

These two have crossed paths several times in their career’s with Perez going 13-35 with two doubles and four home runs against Scherzer and the Blue Jays starter allowing 13 hits and 10 earned runs across his last three starts including three home runs.

Perez went 2-4 with a double and RBI in the Royals 11-7 win against Detroit on Sunday, and with a day off yesterday Perez should be rested and ready to go.

MLB Home Run Prop Best Bet of the Day #2: Cal Raleigh (SEA) +330

Well, it’s safe to say that Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh won’t hit the 60 home run mark that he hit a year ago due to injuries and inconsistency throughout the season, but we think we get solid odds for him to hit his 18th home run of the season tonight.

Raleigh had three home runs in last night’s 9-2 home win over the Phillies so we’ll attempt to strike while the iron is hot. Philadelphia sends righty Aaron Nola to the mound who has allowed a league leading 31 home runs including 12 across his last eight starts combined.

Raleigh is batting just .167 this season, but across the last week he’s batting .333 and slugging 1.000 and while the three home runs last night help those numbers, he also hit a home run in last Friday’s 6-5 extra innings win over the Cubs.

For what it’s worth he does have six home runs in total this month which are three more than he’s hit in any month this season and has hit 11 of his 17 home runs off right handed pitching.

Raleigh will be batting lefty against Nola with the Philadelphia starter allowing 18 of his 31 home runs to left handed batters on the season.
