MLB Home Run Prop Best Bet of the Day #1: Jose Ramirez (CLE) +250

Guardians veteran third baseman Jose Ramirez isn’t having the season he envisioned back in March as he’s struggling to find a consistent bat since returning from a month-plus injury on July 22nd.

We’re going to take Ramirez to hit his home run prop for the first time since June 6th as the Guardians and Reds go at it once again in Cincinnati.

Righty Brady Singer gets the start for Cincinnati on the mound giving up 21 home runs in total so far this season with 15 of them coming against left handed batters.

Ramirez is a switch hitter who will be a lefty against Singer as the Reds starter has also allowed a .516 slugging percentage to left handed bats compared to a .405 slugging percentage against right handers.

Singer has actually done a solid job keeping the ball in play in four July starts giving up only two home runs during that time but we think there is some regression to the means tonight.

Ramirez only has ten home runs this season but let’s not forget he has averaged 31 home runs per season across his last five and sits just five home runs away from 300 for his career.

All-time Ramirez is 12-31 against Singer with three home runs and also has home runs against Reds’ relievers Tejay Antone and Emilio Pagan.

With that let’s take Ramirez at +250 to hit a home run tonight with other Guardians batters to consider for a home run prop includes Kyle Manzardo (+265) and Chase DeLauter (+330).

MLB Home Run Prop Best Bet of the Day #2: Julio Rodriguez (SEA) +235

Lefty Eric Lauer takes the mound for the Dodgers tonight having given up 20 home runs in total this season in 82 innings pitched. With that we think there is a great shot for Julio Rodriguez to cash his home run prop tonight as the Mariners and Dodgers play in Los Angeles.

Rodriguez smacked a home run in yesterday’s 7-6 win and has three different instances of hitting a home run in back-to-back games this season.

Against Lauer all-time Rodriguez is 2-5 with a home run with the Dodgers lefty giving up 16 of his 20 home runs to right handed batters on the season.

Lauer has given up four home runs combined across his last three starts with Rodriguez sporting a .525 slugging percentage against lefties this season compared to a .389 slugging percentage against righties.

We can safely assume Rodriguez won’t get to his 2025 home run total of 32, but he still has a shot to hit a home run anytime he comes to the plate, especially against lefties.

Ten of Lauer’s home runs given up have come at home in just 38 innings so let’s take Rodriguez to hit a home run tonight at +235 odds. Other Mariners hitters to look at for a home run prop includes Cal Raleigh (+220) and Randy Arozarena (+310).
