THE PLAY: 1H Total Over 4.5 (+100) J Ross (RHP), R Weathers (LHP) Must Start

Ryan Weathers has pitched very well for the Marlins over the last couple weeks, but there are a couple red flags that have us scratching our chin. First, we're worried about his stamina. Weathers threw 8.0 innings against the Tigers last week, and he's thrown 97+ pitches in each of his last three starts. This is someone that was essentially a relief pitcher in the Padres' organization last year. This stretch that he's currently on features the most pitches and innings that he's thrown at any point in his MLB career. Not to take anything away from what Weathers has done this season, but he's enjoyed a favorable schedule that has featured the Tigers, A's, Pirates, Nationals and struggling Cardinals. This is a good sell-high spot against Weathers with a talented Brewers' offense. The over is 28-17-1 in Milwaukee's games this season, including 9-3 in the Brewers' last 12 games. The over is 28-19 in Miami's games this season, including 7-2 in the Marlins' last nine games. Both starting pitchers have potential to lay a dud in this spot. Stay away from the bullpens and look for some aggressive bats to start this contest.
