Mobil 1 301 Track: New Hampshire Motor Speedway

New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a 1.058-mile oval in Loudon, New Hampshire, known for its relatively flat banking—turns are banked 2-7° and the straightaways only about 1°—which makes it one of the more technical and challenging tracks on the NASCAR schedule.

Because it’s flat and narrow through the turns, momentum and throttle control are hugely important; drivers lose a lot if they miss the corners or over-drive entry.

The Mobil1301 is 301 laps, just over 318 miles, and has become a key race in the playoffs (it opens the Round of 12), so the stakes are high.

Drivers and teams with good short oval setup work and those who can adapt through long runs tend to do well here.

Christopher Bell has been strong lately, with multiple wins, and veterans like Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch also have histories of success at Loudon.

On the flip side, drivers who can’t find grip in the center of the corners or who burn up tires in long green stretches often fade badly late in the race.

Mobil 1 301 Top 10 Prediction

Bubba Wallace -115

Bubba Wallace has been strong at New Hampshire, finishing inside the top 10 in two of his last three races at the track.

He’s also been consistent this season with six top-10 finishes in his last nine starts, and currently sits 8th in points, making a solid result here even more important.

Wallace is aggressive and willing to battle hard for position, which suits him well in the fight for a top-10 spot.

With several contenders already eliminated from the playoffs, the field thins a bit as motivation fades for some drivers. That opens the door for Wallace to secure another top-10 finish, making -115 a solid play.

Mobil 1 301 Matchup Prediction

Christopher Bell -150 over Kyle Larson

Kyle Larson and his team just don’t look right at the moment. He’s finished 32nd, 19th, and 12th in his last three races, with only three top-10 results in his last twelve starts.

Bell, on the other hand, is trending upward with a 1st and 7th in his last two outings. These are two drivers going in completely opposite directions, and the momentum clearly favors Bell. Christopher Bell -150 is the play.
