NRFI Best Bet Today #1: Chicago Cubs vs Chicago White Sox (-125)

We’re heading to Chicago for the Windy City Showdown as the Cubs play at the White Sox for three games starting tonight.

Shota Imanaga gets the start for the Cubs sporting a 1.33 road ERA heading into tonight and holding opponents scoreless in the first inning in 10 of his 13 starts this season.

He has been stellar in July so far posting a 2.13 ERA against the likes of the Guardians, Twins, Yankees and Red Sox.

The White Sox have failed to score in the first inning in 72% of their home games as they send Adrian Houser to the mound.

The White Sox righty posts a 0.69 home ERA in 26 innings this season and has a 1.86 ERA in three July starts.

He hasn’t allowed a first inning run in nine of his ten starts this season including five straight with the Cubs failing to score in the first inning in four straight games.

A NRFI didn’t occur during the first three head-to-head matchups, but we think that changes tonight. Play on a Cubs vs White Sox NRFI to occur at -125 odds and first pitch at 7:40PM ET.

NRFI Best Bet Today #2: Cleveland Guardians vs Kansas City Royals (-120)

We get the two best NRFI teams this season going head to head tonight as AL Central rivals Guardians and Royals go at it in Kansas City.

Gavin Williams starts for Cleveland not allowing a first inning run in 14 of his 20 starts on the season. Current Royals batters are slugging just .295 against Williams all time with the Royals failing to score a first inning run at home in 76% of those games.

Michael Wacha takes the mound for Kansas City posting a 2.72 home ERA this season and current Guardians batters slugging just .305 against him.

Wacha gave up a first inning run for the first time this season in his last start but before that was a perfect 19-0 in not allowing a first inning run.

The Guardians have failed to score a first inning run in 77% of their road games and it’s worth noting that the first six head to head matchups this season between these two resulted in a NRFI.

Play on a Guardians vs Royals NRFI to occur tonight with first pitch slated for 8:10PM ET and odds listed at -120.
