Aaron Nola takes the mound for Philadelphia and although he hasn’t allowed a home run in his last two starts (one against the Braves), he has allowed 32 in total this season which is second most among all MLB pitchers.
Against right handed batters this season Nola is allowing a .283 batting average and .508 slugging percentage with Acuna Jr. doing most of his damage at the plate against right handed pitching batting .265 and slugging .457 compared to batting .216 and slugging .387 against left handed pitching.
Acuna Jr. and Nola have crossed paths quite a bit throughout their respective careers with the Braves outfielder going 22-62 with four home runs against Nola and it’s worth noting that in September so far Acuna Jr. is batting .333 and slugging .667.
The Phillies sit just four games back of the Braves for the NL East lead so we should see Acuna Jr. locked in for the duration of the series starting tonight.

Speaking of pitchers who have given up a lot of home runs this season, Jeffrey Springs takes the mound for the Athletics at home tonight against the Mariners who has given up 33 home runs this season which is tied for the most among all MLB pitchers.
With that, we’ll take Randy Arozarena to hit his home run props tonight who is 12-39 with a home run this season against the Athletics.
He’s 4-16 with a home run all-time specifically against Springs with the Athletics pitcher giving up 21 of his 33 home runs at home this season while sporting a 7.18 ERA compared to a 4.76 ERA at home.
He has given up 23 of 33 home runs to right handed hitters like Arozarena with the Mariners outfielder slugging .515 over the last 30 days. Springs actually went against this Mariners team during his last time out firing seven scoreless innings while allowing just two hits.
That game was in Seattle though with this game being played in Sacramento where we’ve already mentioned Springs struggles. Arozarena has been a much better hitter on the road this season hitting 13 of his 22 home runs while batting .300 and slugging .509 compared to a .243 average and .409 slugging percentage at home.
