After a seven game road trip the Rockies return home to face NL West rival Diamondbacks as lefty Austin Gomber makes his second start for Colorado.

He looked stellar against Washington tossing five innings while allowing no runs on two hits, but did allow 30 home runs last season with 16 of them coming at Coors Field.

We’re going to target outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. to hit a home run tonight who has a home run off Gomber in 14 at-bats in his career.

The Diamondbacks outfielder isn’t known as a great power hitter but has hit 20+ home runs in three of his previous seven seasons.

He’s a much better hitter on the road this season sporting a .279 batting average and .478 slugging percentage compared to home games hitting just .233 with a .380 slugging percentage.

This will be the fourth of 13 head-to-head matchups with the Rockies this season and in 2024 Gurriel Jr. hit .371 with a .714 slugging percentage against them with Gomber allowing six home runs in total to Arizona last season in 18.2 innings pitched.

Take Gurriel Jr. to hit a home run at +430 odds with other Arizona batters to look at for a home run include Eugenio Suarez (+220) and former Rockies player Randal Grichuk (+350).

MLB HR Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Teoscar Hernandez (LAD) +400

Teoscar Hernandez has found himself in a small hitting slump after hitting a home run in three straight games, he’s just 3-18 across his last five games but we think he has a chance to bust out of that tonight.

The Dodgers host the Nationals who send lefty MacKenzie Gore to mound with Hernandez going 2-6 against him all-time with a home run.

It’s not just Gore, but all lefties that Hernandez likes facing, sporting a .383 batting average and .809 slugging percentage compared to righties batting just .229 with a .410 slugging percentage.

Hernandez has 13 home runs on the season with eight of them coming at home and Dodger stadium sitting top five among all ballparks in most home runs hit this season.

Six of the ten home runs Gore has given up have come on the road while allowing a home run in two straight games.

Take Hernandez to hit his 14th home run of the season with odds listed at +400. Other Dodgers hitters to look at for a home run include Shohei Ohtani (+200) and Will Smith (+430).
