Packers vs Lions Prediction: Packers Football Preview
The argument could be made that the Packers should not have won on Sunday. The Chargers had multiple chances to put points up on the board, but due to various drops by the Chargers, the Packers were able to pull away and hold on to a 23-20 win.
Jordan Love played arguably his best game of the season. Love went 27-40 for 322 yards with two touchdown passes and no turnovers.
The defense allowed 394 yards, but their ability to force one turnover and make a big play was enough to give the Packers a win.
Lions Football Preview
The Lions looked like they may not win against the Bears at home on Sunday. The Bears had a 26-14 lead in the fourth quarter, but a big play to Jameson Williams and big plays by the defense helped give the Lions possessions to capitalize on.
Detroit scored twice in the 4th and got a safety to secure the win. Detroit’s defense has been bad lately, and Goff was terrible in this win.
The defense allowed 334 yards and was on the field for over 40 minutes yesterday. Detroit had four turnovers, and Goff was responsible for three of them.
We give Goff the benefit of the doubt because the Bears play a defensive scheme that Goff has struggled against the season, but he needs to be better for the Lions.
Packers vs Lions Prediction: The PICK
On Thursday, these two teams face off for the second time this season. In the first meeting, the Lions went into Lambo and won by 14 on the road.
Detroit ran the ball over 40 times for 200+ yards in the victory. Now, the Lions get to play the Packers at home, where they are much more comfortable.
Jordan Love is coming off his best game, but we are not putting too much stock into that, as it was against one of the worst defenses in the NFL.
Detroit should rely again on a heavy dose of the ground game to build and maintain a lead in this game. These teams are 5-5 in their L10 matchups, but Detroit is 8-2 ATS. Those games went 6-4 to the under.
Green Bay is 2-11 ATS in their L13 games against Detroit and 0-5 ATS in their L5 games in Detroit. Detroit is 8-2 ATS in their L10 home games.
While Love was not the QB of the Packers for most of these meetings, it does show how the Lions do have the Packers’ number, and it’s hard to imagine them not winning this football game.
Detroit is a great teaser leg on Thursday, and they also have the ability to win this game by margin.
Prediction: Detroit Lions -7.5
