Commanders vs Cowboys Prediction: Commanders Football Preview

When you lose to a team that is tanking and trying to lose… enough said. The Washington Commanders hosted the New York Giants on Sunday, and the Commanders opened as a 10-point favorite.

That number dropped all the way down to 7.5 before kickoff, and what happened on the field justified the line move and more.

Washington turned the ball over six times in the game, and they made Tommy DeVito look like a star in the making. The Commanders had nine sacks, but they could not get off the field on third down, and DeVito made play after play to keep drives alive and to score points.

The Commanders would have been one game back from the playoffs with a win, but instead, they dropped what was a must-win game.

Cowboys Football Preview

The Cowboys headed to Carolina to take on the worst team in the NFL, and they got the win with no issues.

The Panthers’ defense played well to start the game, but then they allowed a few penalties, which gave Dallas longer drives, and shortly after, the game was over.

Dallas had another pick-six, their defensive line was buzzing, and the Cowboys took care of business. Thursday, the Cowboys host the Commanders for the first time this season on Thanksgiving.

Commanders vs Cowboys Prediction: The PICK

Dallas is 6-4 SU and ATS in their L10 meetings with the Commander. The total in those games was split 5-5. Washington is 4-8 ATS in their L12 games against Dallas and 4-10 SU in their L14 games against Dallas.

The Cowboys have the edge in almost every area, but if the Commanders’ offensive line can do anything to slow down the Cowboys, Washington should be able to move the football.

On the other hand, Dallas should have no problem moving it on Washington, and this game has track meet potential, which is indicated by a total of 48.

Still, 48 points may be too few, given how both offenses can explode. Howell is a candidate to give the defense scores but also a candidate for big plays down the field.

Washington’s defense has been unable to stop anyone all season, so there is no reason to believe Dallas will lay an egg at home on primetime. We think there will be points, so play the over.
