NBA Player Props Best Bet #1: Nickeil Alexander-Walker (ATL) Over 23.5 Points + Assists (-110)

The Timberwolves play the second leg of a back-to-back tonight against the Hawks after dropping their first leg to the Clippers yesterday 115-96.

We’ll take Nickeil Walker-Alexander to go over 23.5 points + assists tonight averaging 24.5 points + assists over his last seven games.

Walker-Alexander played 2.5 seasons with the Timberwolves before being acquired by the Hawks this past offseason and is having his best offensive season of is career so far averaging 20.2 points per game compared to his career average of 10 points per game.

Walker-Alexander didn’t have a great game against the Timberwolves in their first head-to-head meeting but this is his first time back in Minnesota since his tenure there.

He’ll look to show the Minnesota faithful why they shouldn’t have let him walk with the Timberwolves defense showing some vulnerabilities as of late.

Although Minnesota ranks top 10 in defensive rating for the season, they rank just 27th across their last five games with the Hawks coming in first in assist rating and second in pace so far this season.

It’s worth noting that Walker-Alexander has been slightly more efficient in road games this season averaging a full point more per game than home games while shooting it at 46.6% compared to just 40.3% shooting at home.

Walker-Alexander has attempted 17 shots per game across his last five so let’s take him in a revenge spot against the Timberwolves tonight going over 23.5 points + assists.

NBA Player Props Best Bet #2: Pat Spencer (GSW) Over 18.5 Points + Rebounds (-120)

It’s brother vs brother in tonight’s Grizzlies vs Warriors game as Cam and Pat Spencer with Steph Curry still sidelined for Golden State.

If you look at Pat Spencer’s season stats you might be puzzled why we’re taking him to go over 18.5 points + rebounds but he’s been a focal point of this Warriors team as of late with Curry recovering from injury.

He has averaged 20.5 points + rebounds in the last three games for Golden State in which Curry has missed while shooting 54% overall from the field and an even better 58% from three-point range.

He has seen 29 minutes per game across his last three which is a far cry from the 15 minutes per game he has been averaging for the season.

Spencer only got one minute of action the last time these two teams met so you’ll know he’ll be itching to get on the court as a starter this time around against his brother.

Spencer should have plenty of scoring and rebounding opportunities with the Grizzlies running at the sixth fastest pace this season and playing without a true big man as of late trading away Jaren Jackson Jr. along with Jock Landale at the trade deadline.

Zach Edey and Santi Aldama are still sidelined with injuries with 6’8 Kyle Anderson filling in as the de-facto center.

The Grizzlies sit dead last in defensive rating across their last five games so let’s go with Pat Spencer to be active on both sides of the floor for the Warriors going over 18.5 points + rebounds against a floundering Grizzlies team tonight.
