Mavericks vs Warriors Analysis

The Golden State Warriors invade American Airlines Center in Dallas for a Western Conference showdown with the Mavericks. These teams are polar opposites as far as recent form. The Warriors have lost six of their last eight games, while the Mavs have won eight of their last ten.

One of those victories for the Mavs was a 107-101 triumph over the Warriors on Sunday night. The Mavs have won two of three head-to-head meetings, while this is fourth and final regular season matchup.

Mavericks vs Warriors Team Totals

The Dallas Mavericks are small favorites with a total of 219.5 points in tonight’s contest. This sets the Mavs team total at 110.5 and the Warriors at 109.5.

We have seen some low scoring games between these teams with the Mavs winning 107-101 and 99-82, with the Warriors winning 130-92. The Mavs play at the slowest pace in the league, while the Warriors rank 16th.

It looks like Klay Thompson should be ready for action on Thursday night. The Mavs have fallen short of 111 points in five of their last six games, even in victories. The Warriors are desperate for a solid victory and I’m expecting for them to ratchet up the defense.

Recommendation: Dallas Mavericks’ Team Total Under 110.5 Points

Mavericks vs Warriors Player Props

Steph Curry vs Luka Doncic will go head-to-head for the last time during the regular season. Surprisingly both players have some relatively quiet games against each other, based on their standards. Since the acquisitions of Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans, Luka Doncic has seen his scoring go down while still posting great numbers overall.

The Warriors do a great job limiting opposing point guards. They hold them to the seventh-fewest amount of points and third-fewest assists. Doncic’s points + rebounds + assists number is set at 47.5, the highest he has had against the Warriors was 47 PRA in three chances. I’m expecting the Warriors to come with a huge effort and limiting Doncic would be a big part of that.

Recommendation: Luka Doncic Under 47.5 Pts + Rebs + Asts

Mavericks vs Warriors Same-Game Parlay

  • Luka Doncic UNDER 31.5 Points
  • Dwight Powell OVER 2.5 Rebounds
  • Steph Curry OVER 2.5 three-pointers made
    +170 Odds

Let’s start with a version of the Doncic under, as his points + rebounds + assists under isn’t available. We will go under 31.5 points, a total he has only cleared once in three head-to-head meetings.

The Warriors are short on big men, so taking Dwight Powell over 2.5 rebounds makes a lot of sense. He has cleared that number in his last four and five of his last six games.

Steph Curry is always a good play to hit three three-pointers. Let’s add that for +170 odds.
