Los Angeles Lakers vs Toronto Raptors Betting Analysis
The Toronto Raptors wrap up a west coast road trip against the Los Angeles Lakers in a cross-conference tilt on Friday night. The Lakers won their 6th game in 8 tries 112-103 at home against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night.
The Raptors lost their second straight game 108-100 in Los Angeles against the Clippers on Wednesday night.
This will be the second and final game in a regular season series that Toronto leads 1-0 after winning 126-113 at home in December. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:00 PM EST/7:00 PST as the nightcap of a NBATV doubleheader.
Lakers Push For Playoff Berth
The Los Angeles Lakers improved to 32-34 on the season after beating Memphis on Tuesday. The Lakers dominated the glass with a 57-45 rebounding advantage.
Anthony Davis led all scorers and rebounders with a ridiculous 30 point, 22 rebound double-double. Dennis Schroder added 17 points and 9 assists while Austin Reeves chipped in with 17 points and 7 assists off the bench.
The Lakers have moved into the 9th seed out West, 14 games behind the first place Nuggets and only a half game from missing the play-in tournament altogether. Los Angeles ranks 8th in scoring with 116.6 points a game on 47.8% shooting.
The defense continues to improve as they now rank 12th in defensive rating but 23rd in defensive scoring with 117.4 points allowed per game.
Anthony Davis and D’Angelo Russell are both listed as probable for this contest while Lebron James and Mo Bamba remain out.
Raptors Road Trip Not Going As Planned
The Toronto Raptors slipped to 32-35 on the season after losing to the Clippers on Wednesday. The Clips won the points in the paint battle 60-42.
The Raptors top scorers were Pascal Siakam and Scottie Barnes with only 20 points each on 9-21 and 6-21 respectively.
Jakob Poeltl led his team in rebounds with 11 while Fred VanVleet led the team in assists 9. The Raptors currently occupy the 9th seed in the Eastern Conference, 16.5 games behind the first place Bucks and only 1.5 games from missing the play-in tournament altogether.
Toronto ranks well below average in scoring with only 112.4 points a game on 45.4% from the field. They sit at 17th in defensive rating but 7th in defensive scoring with only 112 points allowed per. Will Barton is considered as probable for this game due to an illness, he is the only Raptor listed on the report.

The Toronto Raptors are slightly favored on the road with a spread of 2 and a total of 224.5. This is a critical game for both sides sit in the 9th seed in their respective conferences and would be play-in teams if the season ended today.
