NBA Player Props Predictions 1: Trae Young, Hawks OVER 10.5 Assists (-125) DK
Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young ranks 2nd in the NBA in both assists (10.9/game) and potential assists (18.7/game).
Young has recorded 11+ dimes in 26 of his 46 games on the season for a 57% success rate including 7 of his last 10 games.
The Philadelphia 76ers will struggle to stop Young from driving in the lane and creating for his teammates as De’Anthony Melton remains out with an injury and they just traded away both Patrick Beverley and Jaden Springer.
Joel Embiid also remains out for Philadelphia so the Sixers will lack rim protection to stop Onyeka Okongwu and Jalen Johnson from scoring at the rim.
Young has also eclipsed this mark in each of his last three head-to-head games against the 76ers including 11 and 13 this season.
The spread is only -3 and we have a high total set at 246 so Young should see full minutes in a high scoring affair which will lead to extra opportunities to collect assists.
NBA Player Props Predictions 2: Tyus Jones, Wizards UNDER 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125) DK
Washington Wizards point guard Tyus Jones is averaging 12.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 6.4 for an average of 21.4 Points + Rebounds + Assists on the season.
Jones has fallen short of 23+ PRA in 27 of 50 games on the season for a 54% success rate to the under. He has been better recently, clearing this mark in 6 of his last 10 games.
However, the Boston Celtics allow the 4th least points and LEAST three-pointers to opposing point guards over the last 30 days.
That’s critical as Jones is 0-19 to this number against top-15 point guard defenses when he shoots less than 50% from beyond the arc.
Jones has fallen short of this mark in each of his last three games against the Celtics including a 21 PRA in October.
We also have a 17-point spread in this contest and Boston already beat the Wiz 126-107 in their first meeting. A potential blowout could limit Jones opportunities even further in what’s already a brutal matchup.
