Hollywood Casino 400 Track: Kansas Speedway

The Hollywood Casino 400 takes place at Kansas Speedway, a 1.5-mile tri-oval that has developed into one of the best intermediate tracks on the NASCAR schedule. Kansas features progressive banking from 17 to 20 degrees in the corners, allowing drivers to search for speed across multiple grooves instead of being locked into one preferred line.

As the race progresses, drivers can move all the way from the bottom to inches away from the outside wall, creating some excellent side-by-side racing.

Kansas rewards cars with strong aerodynamic balance and drivers who can maintain momentum while managing their tires over long green-flag runs.

The current Next Gen car has raced particularly well here, with the wide surface giving drivers opportunities to move around and find clean air when their preferred lane isn’t working. Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, Christopher Bell, and Tyler Reddick have all shown plenty of speed at Kansas in recent years.

The Hollywood Casino 400 can come down to tire management, pit strategy, and late-race restarts, and the multiple racing grooves make Kansas a track where drivers can actually fight their way through the field.

Hollywood Casino 400 Top 10 Prediction: Joey Logano +130

The playoffs are here, and it shouldn’t surprise anybody that Joey Logano is suddenly coming on strong. He’s finished 9th, 3rd and 1st over his last three races, including a win at Bristol last week. This is exactly the time of year when Logano and this team historically seem to find another gear.

Logano wasn’t good on the mile-and-a-half tracks earlier in the season, and that’s obviously why we’re getting such an attractive price. But I’m putting more weight on what we’re seeing from this team right now.

The car is showing more speed, the results are improving, and Logano is putting together his best stretch of the season at exactly the right time.

We’re also seeing some of the drivers who were consistently running near the front earlier in the year start to fall off. NASCAR performance changes throughout a long season, and I don’t want to price Logano based entirely on what his car looked like months ago when the recent results are telling us something different.

Most importantly, we’re getting plus money and only asking for a Top 10. With three straight Top-10 finishes and Logano showing legitimate playoff form, +130 is simply too good of a number for me to pass up. Joey Logano Top 10 (+130) is the play.
