Window World 450 Track: North Wilkesboro Speedway
The Window World 450 takes place at the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway, a 0.625-mile asphalt oval that is one of NASCAR’s original tracks.
The speedway features relatively flat banking, making mechanical grip, braking, and throttle control far more important than raw horsepower.
Drivers must be patient, protect their tires, and stay disciplined because passing can be difficult and track position is critical. For 2026, the race has been expanded from 400 laps to 450 laps, making it the longest Cup race ever held at North Wilkesboro and adding another layer of endurance and strategy.
Unlike the All-Star Race held here in recent years, the Window World 450 is a full points-paying event, meaning every position matters in the championship battle.
Long green-flag runs, tire conservation, and pit strategy are expected to play a major role as teams navigate the extra 50 laps. With its old-school layout, rich history, and demanding racing style, North Wilkesboro continues to reward drivers who can balance aggression with patience over a long afternoon.
Window World 450 Top 10 Prediction: Ty Gibbs -120
I’ve been a Ty Gibbs bettor this season, I think this is another great spot for a top 10 bet. Gibbs has consistently shown speed on shorter oval tracks.
Earlier this season he finished 4th at Phoenix, 4th at Martinsville, and picked up a victory at Bristol, proving he knows how to manage tire wear, track position, and long green-flag runs on this style of circuit.
He also has excellent history at this track. Gibbs won the 2024 All-Star Open here, giving him confidence and valuable experience on a layout where passing can be difficult and familiarity matters.
The manufacturer advantage is another reason to like this play. Toyota has been the class of the field on oval tracks this season, consistently producing race-winning speed and giving its drivers equipment capable of running near the front all afternoon.
We don’t need Gibbs to contend for the victory—just another clean, consistent race. Given his track history, success on comparable short tracks, and the speed Toyota has shown all season, a Top 10 finish is well within reach. We’ll back Ty Gibbs Top 10 (-120).
