PFL Charlotte Predictions

Davletdzhan Yagshimuradov (-175) vs Simeon Powell (+140)

This is one of the more difficult fights on the card to handicap because of the unusual circumstances. The matchup was originally scheduled for last week before being canceled after one fighter was deemed medically unable to compete. With the fight now taking place, there are still unanswered questions about what changed in such a short period of time.

Powell brings a clear height and reach advantage, giving him opportunities to score from the outside if he can maintain distance. Yagshimuradov, however, is the more aggressive fighter and should be the one pushing the pace with the higher volume.

The talent gap isn’t large enough to overlook the uncertainty surrounding the postponement, making this a fight with more unknowns than most on the card.

Aaron Jeffery (-175) vs Josh Silveira (+145)

This matchup has all the makings of a slow, grind-it-out fight. Jeffery’s style is built around pressure, clinch work, and controlling opponents against the fence rather than engaging in extended striking exchanges. Expect him to lean on that approach again, forcing Silveira to defend while mixing in short punches and knees to wear him down.

Silveira is dangerous in space, but Jeffery’s game plan should minimize those opportunities. While it may not be the most entertaining fight on the card, Jeffery’s physicality and ability to dictate where the fight takes place should allow him to control the majority of the action. Expect this fight to go the distance, with Aaron Jeffery earning a decision victory.

PFL Charlotte Main Event: Bryan Battle vs Dalton Costa

Bryan Battle’s PFL debut was one to forget, but this is a much more favorable stylistic matchup. Rosta’s clearest path to victory is his wrestling, but Battle has made noticeable improvements in his takedown defense and has become much harder to control than he was earlier in his career. If he can keep this fight standing, the striking advantage belongs firmly to Battle.

Rosta tends to fight aggressively and leaves openings when he closes distance, while Battle is the cleaner, more technical striker with better finishing ability.

The pre-fight buildup has also suggested neither fighter plans on taking a cautious approach. With both men talking about making a statement, expect an action-packed start. Battle’s speed, power, and striking should ultimately be the difference, and Bryan Battle by knockout is the prediction.
