MLB Home Run Props Best Bet of the Day #1: Rafael Devers (SF) +500

If you’re going to tell me we get +500 odds on a player who has 31 home runs this season and has one in back to back games we’ll take it which is what we get with Rafael Devers tonight.

We’ll take Devers to hit his home run props tonight and although you may not think there isn’t a good chance he hits a home run in a third straight game, he just did it between August 24-26 at home against the Reds.

The Giants will be playing at Pittsburgh again tonight with the Pirates sending righty Jared Jones to the mound. He has allowed just 12 home runs in 72.2 innings on the season but lately the wheels have been starting to fall off a bit with five of those home runs coming across his last five starts (20.2 IP) while compiling a 7.40 ERA for August.

Seven of his 12 home runs allowed have come against left handed hitters and seven of 12 have also come at home. Sure, it’s been a rough season for the Giants, but it’s not on Devers batting .293 and slugging .604 including 26 of his 31 home runs against right handed pitchers.

Over the last 15 days Devers is batting .304 and slugging .661 including six home runs and after last night’s performance in Pittsburgh, Devers is 5-15 with two doubles and two home runs against the Pirates in total this season.

Devers and Jones have never crossed paths before but it’s worth noting Devers has home runs off relievers Gregory Soto and Kirby Yates if the bullpen comes into play.

With that, take Devers at +500 to hit his home run props tonight with other Giants batters to consider for home runs props being Bryce Eldridge (+430) and Shay Whitcomb (+900).

MLB Home Run Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Royce Lewis (MIN) +420

After losing four-straight to the Athletics and White Sox, the Twins have been on a tear as of late winning three straight including 26 combined runs so far in two games against the Tigers as these two play one more in Minnesota tonight.

We’ll take Royce Lewis to hit his home run props after blasting a three-run home run in last night’s win. That home run marked his 14th of the season leaving him three short of setting a new career high for home runs in a season as the Tigers send righty Drew Anderson to the mound.

Anderson is a reliever turned starter who has allowed four combined home runs across his last four starts (18.2 IP) and has allowed eight of his 13 home runs on the road while sporting a 5.08 ERA compared to a 2.87 ERA at home.

He has been more vulnerable to right handed batters as well allowing seven of his 13 home runs to them while allowing a .456 slugging percentage compared to a .365 slugging percentage against lefties.

After last night’s performance, Lewis is now 12-31 against the Tigers this season while slugging .645 including two home runs. It’s also worth noting that the Tigers are tied for third most home runs given up over the last 15 days among all MLB teams.

Take Lewis at +420 to hit his home run props with other Twins hitters to look at for home runs props being Kody Clemens (+420) and Ryan Jeffers (+500) who has three home runs combined in his last two games.
