Home Run Props Best Bet of the Day #1: Paul Goldschmidt (NYY) +430

We cashed on a Paul Goldschmidt home run prop last week and we’re going back to the well again on Thursday as the Yankees and Red Sox start up a four-game set in Boston tonight.

The Yankees first baseman blasted two home runs in yesterday’s 4-2 win at Detroit which made eight in total for him on the month.

He’s hitting .346 in June while slugging .667 with Boston sending lefty Connelly Early to the mound. Goldschmidt has posted exceptional stats against left handed pitching this season batting .408 while slugging .816 against him including eight of his 14 home runs.

He’s batting .357 in road games while slugging .643 and eight of his 14 home runs have also come on the road this season as well. Early didn’t allow a home run in his most recent start at Seattle, but in his last two home starts he has allowed two home runs each to the Rangers and Orioles in 10 total innings pitched.

Goldschmidt is just 14 home runs away from notching 400 for his career and if he continues the pace he’s been hitting he should reach that by the end of the season.

With Goldschmidt’s success against left handed pitching this season and Early’s knack for giving up home runs at home, let’s take him to hit a home run tonight at +430. Other Yankees to look at for a home run includes Ben Rice (+450) and Cody Bellinger (+520).

Home Run Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Alec Burleson (STL) +480

Cardinals first baseman Alec Burleson looks to extend a five-game hitting streak tonight as the Diamondbacks and Cardinals close out a four-game series in St. Louis.

Zac Gallen takes the mound for Arizona allowing three home runs in four June starts while compiling an 8.85 ERA. He has allowed 13 home runs in total on the season with nine of them coming on the road and sporting a 6.98 ERA compared to home starts where his ERA is 5.27.

He has allowed six of 13 home runs to left handed hitters while allowing them to bat .345 to go along with a .526 slugging percentage.

Burleson has had his best month of the season in June batting .306 and slugging .624 while launching six of his 13 total home runs.

He doesn’t have a home run in the first three games of this seres but is 3-9 with a double and two RBIs and he’s hit 12 of his 13 home runs against right handed pitching while batting .335 and slugging .603 against them as well. Let’s not forget that Gallen did allow 31 home runs last season which was tied for fourth most among all pitching.

With that, look for Burleson to close out this series strong taking him to hit his home run props at +480. If you’re looking for more value among home run props consider JJ Wetherholt (+560) and Lars Nootbaar (+600) as well.
