Freeman has three doubles in his last two games, so he is hitting the ball better now. Last season, Freeman hit 17 home runs off right-handed pitchers, and his one home run this season is off a righty. Given Freeman’s ability to heat up, this is one of the best home run prop bets to make today.
Jake Irvin is making the start for the Nationals tonight, and he’s done a solid job keeping the ball in the yard this season. He has allowed two home runs, one being to a lefty. Last season, Irvin allowed 14 of his 20 home runs to left-handed hitters, and all of his advanced metrics were much worse against lefties. Mike Trout (LAA) +300
Mike Trout hit his league-leading ninth home run last night, and we expect him to hit his 10th tonight at home. Dean Kremer makes the start for the Orioles, and he allowed 27 home runs last year. So far this year, Kremer has allowed five home runs, and he has a 2.53 HR/9 against right-handed batters.
Kremer is in the 5th percentile for barrel rate, and he’s 18th in the MLB in contact rate. This means that players make contact with Kremer’s pitches often, and when they do, they are mostly hitting the ball on the nose. Trout is barreling up everything right now, and given the form he’s in and the matchup, this is one of the best home run prop bets to make tonight.
