After yesterday’s 4-3 loss to the Giants the Braves have now lost seven straight as they look to regroup tonight in Milwaukee taking on the Brewers.
Aaron Civale takes the mound for Milwaukee who has allowed four home runs in just 17.1 innings pitched on the season.
Of those four home runs, three have come against lefties while allowing them to slug .600 on the season leading us to take Matt Olson to hit his 14th home run of the season.
The Braves first baseman has a .516 slugging percentage on the road this season compared to just .400 at home with Civale allowing 29 home runs in total last season which was tied for seventh most among all pitchers.
This will be the first head-to-head matchup between the Braves and Brewers this season, but in 2024 Olson had a slugging percentage of .591 against them and he batted in all three runs for the Braves yesterday.
Take Olson to hit a home run at +320 with other Braves hitters to look at for a home run include Drake Baldwin (+420) and Michael Harris II (+560).
MLB HR Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (TOR) +480
What happened to the power of Vladimir Guerrero Jr.? After averaging 34 home runs per season across his last four, he has just eight through 65 games this season.
We think he has a solid chance to hit his ninth home run of the year tonight though as the Blue Jays play at St. Louis who send Andre Pallante to the mound.
The Cardinals starter has allowed 11 home runs this season while sporting a 5.68 home ERA this season. He allowed two home runs in just 4.1 innings pitched in his last start against the Royals with Guerrero Jr. notching one home run in three at bats against Pallante all time.
Guerrero Jr. did hit five home runs in May but has yet to hit one in June and in June of last season he hit eight home runs which was tied for the most he had over a calendar month.
For a power hitter like Guerrero Jr. we get solid odds at +480 for him to hit a home run. Other Blue Jays batters to consider for a home run includes George Springer (+600) and Addison Barger (+680).
