Lefty Matthew Boyd gets the nod for Chicago who has held opponents scoreless in nine of 12 starts this season including his last two.

The Phillies offense has hit a wall as of late as they’ve lost five straight while averaging under two runs per game during that stretch.

Ace Zack Wheeler starts for Philadelphia who has been flawless in the first inning this season while not allowing opponents to score in the first inning in all 12 of his starts.

Chicago’s offense has also been mediocre as of late averaging just three runs per game during their last five games.

Philadelphia has been a great team hitting in the first inning at home, but with the current form their offense is in let’s play on a Cubs vs Phillies NRFI tonight with first pitch at 6:45PM ET and odds listed at -130.

NRFI Best Bet Today #2: Tampa Bay Rays vs Boston Red Sox (-115)

Bryan Bello starts for Boston who has held opponents scores in the first inning in six of nine starts on the season including three straight.

Against the Rays last season Bello garnered a 3.09 ERA with Tampa Bay being held scoreless in the first inning on the road in 86% of games which is the highest percentage among all MLB teams when playing on the road.
