College Football Bowl Game Player Props Prediction 1: Diego Pavia New Mexico State OVER 1.5 TD Passes (+105) DK

It’s all systems go for New Mexico State quarterback Diego Pavia this Saturday night against Fresno State after leaving his last game early due to an elbow injury.

Pavia did throw three touchdown passes in that game and the outcome against Liberty may have been different if he had finished the game.

Regardless Pavia has now thrown two touchdowns or more in 10 of 14 games while landing on one exactly in three of the other four games. he now has his sights set on a Bulldogs team who will be missing their head coach after Jeff Tedford stepped down due to health concerns.

Fresno State is also in bad form after losing three straight games and they lost two key defensive starters (Raymond Scott & Crishawn Gordon) to the portal.

Pavia did lose wide receiver Trent Hudson, but Eli Stowers will be at his disposal. The Bulldog’s defense has allowed 400+ yards in each of their last six games and while a lot of that was on the ground, Pavia will also find success through the air.

Fresno State quarterback Mikey Keene has thrown for 2,596 yards, 21 touchdowns and 9 interceptions through 12 games this season.

However, Keene has fallen short of this total in three straight games and 5 of his last 6 games. Those last three games were a struggle as he threw for only 190, 58 and 110 yards with only one touchdown and two interceptions.

You have to wonder where the Bulldogs heads are at as they play this game without their head coach Jeff Tedford who stepped down due to health concerns.

The Aggies defense will be at full strength as they lost no key defenders to the portal. Keene dealt with injuries during the Bulldogs current three game losing streak and he wasn’t very accurate throwing a combined 42-72 for 58.3%.

The Aggies are favorites, and the crowd will be behind them as it’s a borderline home game with them making the quick trip up I-25. Keene hasn’t sniffed this total in over a month, and I don’t see it happening in this game.
