QB Deacon Hill’s passing yards are set at 99.5 which he’s gone over in two of three starts on the season. Sure his completion percentage is brutal on the season at just 38% and Iowa lost go-to TE Erick All this past week but his passing yard number is so low we can’t pass up the play.

The Hawkeyes are well aware that the entire nation at this point is making a mockery of their defense but the fact of the matter is this team is competing for a Big Ten Championship and Minnesota allows 235 passing yards per game which is 12th out of 14 teams in the conference.

Look for Hill to take advantage of the opportunities he gets to throw the ball getting up and over 99.5 passing yards on Saturday against Minnesota.

College Football Player Props Prediction 2: J.J. McCarthy OVER ~213.5 Passing Yards (-114 FanDuel)

Michigan State’s passing defense has improved somewhat this season allowing 219 yards per game through the air heading into their rivalry game with Michigan on Saturday.

J.J. McCarthy’s passing yards number is set at 213.5 ahead of this game which could see the Wolverines going through the air more often.

McCarthy has surpassed this number in five of seven games on the season including two straight which were both blowouts where he was removed from the game early.

That shouldn’t be the case in this rivalry game even with the Wolverines listed as 24-point road favorites. The Spartans should keep it close enough that he’s never removed from the game and perhaps still throwing come the 4th quarter.

This could be McCarthy’s last game against Michigan’s in-state rival so look for him to make it count on the road going up and over 213.5 passing yards Saturday night.
