Best MLB Home Run Prop Today #1: Denzer Guzman (LAA) +480

Jeffrey Springs likely makes his last start of the season tonight for the Athletics so we have to take advantage with the lefty starter allowing 33 home runs this season which is second most among all MLB pitchers.

Let’s take a crack at Denzer Guzman to hit his home run props tonight belting six of his eight home runs this season against left handed pitching while slugging .432 compared to going against right handed pitching in which he’s slugging just .309.

This game will also be at the hitter friendly Sutter Health Park in Sacramento and Guzman has hit seven of his eight home runs on the road this season.

Keep in mind Guzman has only played in 82 games this season, but he did hit a three-run home run in yesterday’s 9-7 loss to the Athletics.

In fact, Guzman has absolutely loved going against the Athletics in general this season going 10-30 while hitting four of his eight home runs against them as well.

One of those home runs came off Springs specifically back on June 19th with Springs allowing 21 of his 33 home runs at home this season and 23 of 33 to right handed batters.

Take Guzman at +480 odds to hit his home run props tonight and other Angels to consider for home run props are Zack Neto (+285) and Mike Trout (+300).

Best MLB Home Run Prop Today #2: Teoscar Hernandez (LAD) +360

The Dodgers are rounding into postseason form going 15-3 over their last 18 games as they play the second of a three-game series against San Diego at home tonight.

We’ll go with Teoscar Hernandez to hit his home run props tonight as he looks to extend a five-game hitting streak. Sure, Hernandez is just 4-27 against the Padres this season but two of those four hits have been home runs as San Diego sends lefty Robbie Ray to the mound on Wednesday.

All-time against Ray, Hernandez is 6-16 with two home runs and he has also had success against various Padres bullpen pitchers as well going a combined 5-17 with three home runs against Adrian Morejon, David Morgan and Wandy Peralta.

Hernandez has loved going against left handed pitchers in general this season batting .296 and slugging .520 against them compared to a .253 average and .380 slugging percentage against right handed pitchers. Ray has allowed 14 of his 22 total home runs on the road this season and 20 of his 22 against right handed batters.

He has allowed a home run in seven of his past eight starts including two straight so let’s take Hernandez at +360 to cash his home run props tonight. Other Dodgers batters to consider for home run props tonight are Shohei Ohtani (+285) and Andy Pages (+400).
