MLB Home Run Props Best Bet of the Day #1: Matt Olson (ATL) +350

Braves first baseman Matt Olson heads into tonight’s game at home against the Dodgers tied for second most home runs in the MLB with 36 as we’ll look for him to cash his home run prop.

Olson has seen his power somewhat slip as of late not hitting a home run in 10 days but he still has seven home runs in total for August while slugging .554 this month as well.

The Dodgers will start Roki Sasaki who has given up 21 home runs in total on the season with ten of them coming against left handed hitters like Olson.

Sure, Olson has hit only 16 of his 36 home runs at home this season but he’s been at least a better contact hitter in general batting .274 compared to a .246 batting average on the road. He has hit 22 of his 36 home runs against right handed pitching while slugging .550 against them this season as well.

In yesterday’s 4-3 win Olson went 2-4 with a double which was his first game with two hits is ten days and his first game with an extra base hit in a week so it seems like with yesterday’s game he’ll get some of that confidence back while in the batters box.

Take Olson at +350 to hit his home run prop tonight with other Braves batters to consider for home run props being Ronald Acuna Jr. (+420) and Michael Harris II (+470).

MLB Home Run Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Dylan Beavers (BAL) +800

We’re taking a long shot for one of our home run props with Dylan Beavers at +800 odds as the Orioles and Cardinals battle again in St. Louis.

While Beavers isn’t a household name he’s been a driving force for the Baltimore offense as of late batting .300 and slugging .767 over the last 15 days including four of his six total home runs with three of those coming in three straight days from August 18-21.

He went 2-4 with a double and two RBIs in last night’s 13-1 win with the Cardinals sending Michael McGreevy to the mound. Although McGreevy has only given up eight of his 18 total home runs at home this season 12 of those 18 home runs have come against left handed hitters like Beavers as well.

The Orioles outfielder has also done pretty much all of his damage off right handed pitching slugging .413 against them including all six of his home runs compared to a .257 slugging percentage against left handed pitching.

For the month of August Beavers is slugging .509 and with McGreevy giving up three home runs combined in his last four starts, we’ll take the valuable +800 odds for Beavers to hit his home run prop tonight. Other Orioles hitters worth taking for home run props include Pete Alonso (+400) and Coby Mayo (+450).
