Best NBA Props for Monday: Stephon Castle San Antonio Spurs UNDER 5.5 Assists (+116)

The San Antonio Spurs are fully healthy so Stephon Castle should continue to share ball handling duties with De’Aaron Fox and Victor Wembanyama is always a threat to score on lobs, but the Detroit Pistons are an elite interior defense.

Castle has fallen short of this line in 5/7 games against teams ranked in the top 8 in assists allowed at the rim (avg 4.1/game) when the Spurs starters are all active.

Ty Jerome has been very consistent since returning from injury as he’s covered this line in 71% of his games while averaging close to 6 assists per game.

Now Jerome has the opportunity to feast on a Sacramento Kings defense that has allowed the 5th most assists overall including the 3rd most to opposing point guards with an average of 9.9 per game.

Jerome already faced Sacramento in an early February game where he recorded 7 dimes with an elite conversion rate as he logged 8 potential assists.

We have seen other opposing point guards eclipse their respective assist lines recently as Isaiah Collier finished with 14 assists, Herbert Jones (6) and Kris Dunn (5).

Jerome is only playing about 20 minutes per game recently, but he’s been a very efficient facilitator, and this is a great matchup. The spread is only -3.5 with a huge total of 233.5 so we should avoid a blowout in a high scoring affair.
