NBA Player Props Best Bet #1: Onyeka Okongwu (ATL) Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds (-120)

The Hawks look to keep climbing in the Southeast Division now 3.5 games back of the lead as they host the Wizards who have won two of their last three games.

This will be the third head-to-head meeting between these two teams this season with Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu averaging 26.5 points + rebounds in those games.

We’ll take him to go over 22.5 points + rebounds tonight with the center averaging 23.8 points + rebounds on the season and averaging 24.5 points + rebounds in his last two games against the Heat and Nets.

Washington has simply been terrible against opposing centers this season allowing the second most points and most rebounds per game to the position this season.

The Wizards rank second to last in the NBA in defensive efficiency this season as well as rebounding rate in addition to running at the sixth fastest pace which should increase scoring and rebounding opportunities for Okongwu on a Hawks team that runs at the second fastest pace themselves.

It’s worth noting that Okongwu shoots it at 49% overall this season and 38% from downtown, but his efficiency on offense has increased as of late shooting 55% overall and 53% from downtown through six games in February.

Let’s look for Okongwu to be active on both ends of the floor tonight for the Hawks going over 22.5 points + rebounds against the Wizards in Atlanta.

NBA Player Props Best Bet #2: Michael Porter Jr. (BKN) Over 33.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-108)

We can all admit at this point of the season it hasn’t been one to remember for the Nets, now sitting 15-41 and trying to snap a four-game losing streak.

They’ll have a decent shot to snap that skid tonight hosting a Mavericks team who will be playing without Cooper Flagg and Daniel Gafford listed as questionable as well.

Let’s look for Porter Jr. to put on some sort of a show tonight going over 33.5 points + rebounds + assists against a Mavericks team that has allowed the second most points, rebounds and assists per game to opposing small forwards over the last week.

The Nets and Mavericks have already met twice this season with Porter Jr. averaging 40.5 points + rebounds + assists in those meetings while shooting 57% overall and 60% from three-point range.

Sure, Porter Jr. has struggled shooting the ball so far this month (38%) but this Mavericks defense has been dreadful as of late sitting 28th in defensive rating across their last five games while allowing 126.8 ppg during that stretch.

Brooklyn does run at the fourth slowest pace in the league but Dallas runs at the third fastest which should increase scoring, rebounding and assist chances for Porter Jr. against Dallas who allows the most field goal attempts per game to opponents overall on the season.

Although both these teams aren’t good this season we should see a close game between these two tonight. So let’s go with Brooklyn’s primary playmaker Porter Jr. to go over 33.5 points + rebounds + assists tonight at home.
