The Mets are as cold as any team in baseball right now, losers of seven straight.  Over the last two months, only the lowly Rockies and Nationals have a worse record than New York – this isn't a short term slump and the Mets are ‘fade only’ right now until proven otherwise, especially in this favorite's price range.  Meanwhile, Atlanta has won three straight and four of five, showing signs of finally breaking out of their season long malaise.  Ride the hot & fade the cold….. The LA Dodgers are a Top 5 team in winning percentage off a loss, like the one they suffered last night. They’re 7-2 in nine tries off a loss since the All Star Break.  There’s urgency RIGHT NOW, with LA’s lead in the NL West down to a single game over the Padres, while going 0-4 in their first four meetings with their in-city counterparts. 

It’s surely worth noting how much better this bullpen is right now, compared to where they were at the All Star Break – key arms getting healthy and providing depth.  The Angels bullpen is a big step down from the Dodgers pen and while this is an ‘action’ wager, there’s a starting pitching mismatch as well.   Victor Mederos is no innings eater; Emmett Sheehan has allowed two runs or less in four of his five previous starts. 

The Angels took advantage of Yoshi Yamamoto not having good stuff from the opening pitch last night, but the Dodgers are primed to bounce back STRONG tonight.  In a game where Dave Roberts squad will get all nine at-bats, we’ll reduce our liability with a Run Line bet here, a game I expect the Dodgers to win by margin.  Take the Dodgers on the Run Line
