Real Betis vs Celta Vigo | Friday April 12 | 3:00pm ET

Real Betis +110 | Celta Vigo +260 | Draw +245

Celta Vigo take on Real Betis this Friday night over at the Estadio Benito Villamarin looking to extend their unbeaten run of two straight games into a third to put some much-needed room between themselves and the rest of the relegation pack immediately beneath them.

However, it’s not only Celta Vigo that has motivation to win this game as Real Betis also have one eye on next season’s Europa Conference League as well provided they can finish within one of the top seven spots in the league.

That may be easier said than done however as Betis have lost four straight games in league action heading into this one, and rank third from bottom in terms of last five game form as well, generating just 0.60 PPG across that timeframe.

Celta Vigo won the last matchup between these two sides 2-1 back in January via a late 96th-minute winner from midfielder Williot Swedberg, with the young Swede out of this one due to an ankle injury.

However, that hasn’t stopped Celta Vigo from owning this series across recent meetings, winning all of the last three matchups against Betis in league play, and not having lost to ‘Los Verdiblancos’ since a five-goal thriller took place almost three years ago.

Both teams badly need a win in this one for varying reasons, but this game couldn’t have come at a worse time for Real Betis as they’ve been in some serious decline of late, so we’re happy to side with the away team in this one to avoid defeat on Friday.

La Liga Prediction: Celta Vigo +0.25 (+105)

Cadiz vs Barcelona | Saturday April 13| 3:00pm ET

Cadiz +355 | Barcelona -120 | Draw +255

It looks like an extremely tall order at this point of the season for Barcelona to claw back the eight-point deficit and -19 goal difference required to even have a shot of challenging Real Madrid for the LaLiga title this season.

That likely means Barcelona will be ‘all-in’ over the next week in their pivotal two-leg tie against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, the winner of which will move on to an extremely lucrative semi-final berth should they prevail.

Meanwhile, there isn’t any such lofty expectations for this struggling Cadiz side ahead of this weekend who are simply fighting for every point in the league right now in order to avoid relegation at the end of the season.

Cadiz sit at least four points from safety currently given their negative goal differential, but have at least started to turn things around across recent games, winning each of their last two games at home, and who are now unbeaten in three as well.

Barcelona showed they’re still a formidable outfit in the league, demolishing a previously unbeaten Atletico Madrid team at home 3-0 last month in their previous road game, but we still can’t help but feel that given those two huge legs against PSG in the Champions League sandwiched either side of this game, and the expected heavy rotation that’s to follow, that the value lies in taking a desperate Cadiz side to potentially get a result here on Saturday.

La Liga Prediction: Draw (+255)

Granada vs Alaves | Sunday April 14 | 10:15am ET

Granada +215 | Alaves +140 | Draw +215

It’s been five straight losses now for Granada heading into Sunday’s matchup against Alaves with the Nazaries season looking to have all but run its course given they not only sit second-from-bottom in the table overall, a full 15 points off safety, but also as the worst performing team in LaLiga over the last two months as well, generating just 0.30 PPG on average across that timeframe which is by far the worst performing metric in the league.

Standing in their way on Sunday is an Alaves team that have dipped in form themselves across recent games, but one who nevertheless have been very adept at grinding out results this season.

Those results have largely come off the back of Alaves’ stout defense this year, which ranks top half in both goals allowed and defensive xGA also.

What hasn’t been so impressive however has been Alaves’ offense, which ranks bottom of LaLiga in terms of goals generated from open play this season, relying largely on set-piece situations and penalties, along with a healthy dose of fortune in the own goal department as well.

This an extremely hard game to predict as Granada could well go for it here in a more attacking display given their almost hopeless situation in the league, but face a team in Alaves this weekend that has been extremely offensively challenged this season, and one that has found the back of the net just once across their last four games.

Because of that, the Granada team total may be the way to go here given the odds currently on offer.

La Liga Prediction: Granada Team Total Over 1.5 (+210)
