Wolves vs Arsenal | April 20 | 2:30pm ET

Arsenal threw away a golden opportunity to establish their dominance at the top of the league table last week by falling short 2-0 against Aston Villa on Sunday in a game the Gunners simply looked fatigued in.

That followed on from Liverpool’s loss against Crystal Palace just a few hours earlier, meaning we’ve now had three new Premier League title favorites in a little over a week in what’s been an incredibly close battle at the top of the EPL standings.

Now it’s advantage Manchester City as the Sky Blues currently hold a two-point lead over the chasing pack, but Arsenal know things can change fast in the Premier League, and they’ll be primed for any sort of slip-up from City over the final few matchdays of the season provided they can continue to win from here on out themselves.

They face a Wolves team this weekend that drew against Nottingham Forest last week in a game they surprisingly showed up for, with their unpredictability often proving a problem for some of the bigger teams in the league, with Wolves already handing Brighton, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester City losses inside the Molineux this season.

Whether they can continue to do that against an Arsenal side that has shut them out in both of their previous two meetings is another matter however, but the fact Arsenal will be so fully focused on their midweek tie against Bayern Munich in the Champions League might mean they come out of the traps slow here, potentially giving Wolves a chance early.

We’ll side with the home team in this one to keep things close early on Saturday.

Premier League Prediction: 1H Wolves +0.5 (+103)

Everton vs Nottingham Forest | April 21 | 8:30am ET

Everton +110 | Nottingham Forest +275 | Draw +250

Huge game down at the bottom of the table on Sunday as a loss for either of these two sides would prove disastrous in their efforts to gain another season in the Premier League for next year.

What certainly hasn’t helped either of these team’s cases in doing that this season has been financial fair play rules deductions, with Forest getting docked four points along with Everton’s eight, putting both teams in the quagmire of the relegation dogfight this season.

Everton especially have just two wins in the Premier League since early December, both coming against Burnley, and have looked really vulnerable of late, coming off a heavy 6-0 battering by Chelsea on Monday night with Cole Palmer netting four goals alone in that game.

Nottingham Forest haven’t been a whole lot better, but have at least avoided defeat in four of their last five games overall, netting at least one goal in all five of those matches also.

Everton have failed to beat Nottingham Forest across both of their recent two visits to Goodison Park, so it’s interesting to see why the Toffees are so heavily favored in this one, being priced up as odds-on favorites for Sunday’s game, especially considering both their recent form and their recent head-to-head form against Forest hasn’t gone so well for them.

Overall, despite how poor both teams have been defensively this season, plus Nottingham Forest’s quite potent attack moving forward as well, we’ll still side with the Under 2.5 goals in this one with this being such a crucial game for both teams down at the bottom of the table, with all of the last three head-to-head meetings at Goodison Park finishing with two goals or fewer as well.

Premier League Prediction: Under 2.5 (+102)

Crystal Palace vs West Ham | April 21 | 10:00am ET

Crystal Palace +120 | West Ham +225 | Draw +260

Crystal Palace showed they’re not quite done on the season as a whole just yet, securing an unbelievable victory against Liverpool last week at Anfield via a 1-0 win thanks to Eberechi Eze.

That victory has given the Eagles some much-needed breathing room down at the bottom of the table in their quest to avoid relegation this season, but Palace know they can’t quite rest on their laurels just yet with six games left to play on the season.

They face a West Ham side in this one that will be fully focused in trying to overturn a 2-0 deficit against Bayer Leverkusen over in Germany on Thursday night in the Europa League, a task that obviously occupies all of David Moyes thoughts right now given the Hammers tepid 2-0 display against Fulham last weekend, a game in which they truly offered very little.

Crystal Palace are deserved home favorites going into this game given the current form of both teams and West Ham’s distracted focus right now, and given the fact Crystal Palace owns a league 5th best record in terms of home clean sheets inside the first half this season as well, taking them in the opening 45 minutes at a straight pick ‘em price represents some pretty compelling value ahead of this weekend’s game down at Selhurst Park.
