Manchester United vs Brentford Betting Analysis
Manchester United will look to avenge an embarrassing 4-0 defeat at the hands of Brentford on Wednesday that took place earlier this season, but that may be easier said than done as United have been in some really patchy form of late, winning just two of their last six league games in all and slipping out of the top four as a result.
Brentford have similarly won just two of their last six league games overall, but by the same token have been an extremely difficult team to beat, losing just once across their last sixteen league games in all.
Manchester United have won two of the last three meetings between these two sides ever since Brentford got promoted, but that one loss was that heavy 4-0 defeat against the Bees back in August.
Resilient An Understatement For Brentford
Suffering a mammoth 33 goal attempts at the weekend and 15 shots on goal against Brighton, most teams would have simply wilted under the sheer pressure, but Brentford continued to do pretty much what they’ve been doing all season, namely grinding out positive results in games.
No team has had more outright draws in the Premier League this season than Brentford, and you would have to go all the way back to October to find the last time Brentford failed to cover a line this high in a league game.
Manchester United’s Goal-Scoring Woes
Between September 1st to February 1st, Manchester United ranked as the 5th highest-scoring team in the league, notching an impressive 28 goals across that timeframe.
However, since late February, it’s been a much different story for the Red Devils who sit rock bottom on the scoring charts with zero goals scored since February 19th, a huge concern for United if they’re going to continue to challenge for a top-four spot in the league.

It’s always a tricky proposition to fade a team as talented as Manchester United are given their overall talent level, but with no Casemiro ahead of this game, plus the fact United are in a major slump right now as well, we trust Brentford to grind out yet another positive result at the weekend against Manchester United.
Not only have Brentford been incredibly resilient this season, they’re also tied for set-piece goal creation this year alongside Tottenham on 13 goals.
That’s an area United have been vulnerable in this year, with only seven teams giving up more total set-piece goals at the back than United have.
