Phoenix Suns vs New Orleans Pelicans Analysis
The Suns are coming off an easy win against the Thunder last night while the Pelicans will play their first game out of the All-Star break. We are going to take a look at this game from a prop betting perspective and see where the best bets are.
Phoenix Suns vs New Orleans Pelicans Team Totals
The Pelicans team total is 110.5 and the Suns are at 117.5, and I don’t really know what to expect from the Pelicans in their first game in over a week. They went over this total against San Antonio and Dallas before the break, but also went under this total in four out of their last six. McCollum has been a nice addition at times, but the team is still clunky. I lean toward the Pelicans under 110.5 points.
However, I am definitely taking the over on the Suns’ team total. They looked great without CP3 last night and did not need too much energy to get to 124 points. I think they may have a little advantage tonight as they are up to game speed, and the Pelicans might need a quarter or half to shake off the rust. The bench of the Suns continues to produce, I expect another game with spread out scoring from the starting lineup to help get the Suns over 117.5 points.
Recommendation: Suns Team Total Over 117.5 Points
Phoenix Suns vs New Orleans Pelicans Player Props
The interior defense of Phoenix is really good, and they give up the fifth-least production to opposing centers so I’ll start with playing Valanciunas under 32.5 points + rebounds + assists. He’s only gone over this total in one game in November and that was with an 18 rebound performance against Dallas. He hasn’t scored 20 points in 12 straight games, I don’t see him doing that tonight.
I’ll also take a sprinkle on Brandon Ingram under 20.5 points. He’s gone under in four out of five games since playing with CJ McCollum. Hopefully that trend continues tonight.
Recommendation: Jonas Valanciunas under 32.5 points + rebounds + assists
