NBA Player Props Predictions 1: Trae Young 12+ Assists (+115) DK

Atlanta Hawks point guard has only recorded 12+ assists in 7 of 21 games on the season but that does include 3 of his last 5 games.

That includes his last game against the Toronto Raptors where he recorded a season high 17 assists on 23 potential assists.

Young has cleared this number in 2 of his last 3 games against the Raptors with 17, 9 and 12 dimes. More importantly, Young has reached this number in his last four head-to-head games with Jakob Poeltl, who is a step slow on the pick & roll against Clint Capela.

It makes sense, as Toronto also allows the 2nd most assists to opposing point guards with 9.88 per game.

Young has cleared this total in each of his last three road games with 17, 12 and 14 assists and based on his track record against the Raptors, I like him to record 12+ at +115 odds tonight north of the border.

NBA Player Props Predictions 2: Tyrese Maxey OVER 32.5 Points + Assists (-110) DK

Philadelphia 76ers point guard Tyrese Maxey has averaged 26.1 points and 6.8 assists for an average of 32.9 Points + Assists through the first 22 games of the 2023 NBA regular season. Maxey has cleared this PA total in 4 of his last 6 games and 11 of 22 games on the season.

He did fall well short of this total in his last game against the Detroit Pistons with only 9 point and 9 assists.

However, Maxey shot a horrendous 2-13 from the field & 0-6 from long distance and he had already posted a 29 point, 11 assist effort in the prior game against Detroit.

The Pistons also allow the MOST points (27.67/game) and 10th most assists (9.10/game) to opposing point guards.

They have allowed 13 of the last 15 opposing starting point guards to eclipse their respective PA totals against them. I don’t anticipate Maxey shooting 15% from the field again, making this the perfect bounce back spot.
