NBA Player Prop for Wednesday, November 5
Max Christie (DAL) Over 11.5 Points vs New Orleans (-112)
With Anthony Davis already ruled out for tonight’s contest, Max Christie will likely be drawing another start for the Mavericks. Christie has averaged 15 points per game over the last two with Davis out of the lineup. Starting or not, Christie is averaging 12.7 points per game this season and should draw a favorable matchup against New Orleans.
The Pelicans are on the second leg of a back-to-back and New Orleans has allowed the fourth-most points to opposing point guards this season. The Pelicans are No. 29 in defensive efficiency this season and Christie has gone 11-of-19 from the floor over the last two games. Christie is shooting 50-percent from three-point range (19-of-38) this season.
Christie has played between 31-33 minutes each across the team’s last four games so we can expect the Mavericks’ de-facto starting point guard to see solid playing time once again.
NBA Betting Trends for Wednesday, November 5
#513 Philadelphia 76ers at #514 Cleveland Cavaliers
Philadelphia has covered the spread in five of the last six meetings. All three of last year’s contests went over the total. Cleveland has not played since Sunday, so the Cavs are well-rested for this one. Philadelphia is on the second leg of a back-to-back after losing at Chicago on Tuesday.
#515 Brooklyn Nets at #516 Indiana Pacers
Brooklyn has covered the spread in four of the last five meetings. All four of last year’s contests stayed under the total by a significant margin. Those four games stayed under their respective totals by an average of 14.5 points per game, and that includes one contest that went to overtime. Both teams are on equal rest after playing on Monday. Five of the Pacers’ last six games have stayed under the total.
#517 Utah Jazz at #518 Detroit Pistons
Utah has won four of the last five meetings, including a 126-119 win in Salt Lake City as a home ‘dog last season. Five of the last six meetings have gone over the total. Both teams are on equal rest after playing on Monday. The Jazz are 4-1 against the spread as a ‘dog this season. Detroit was only asked to be a double-digit favorite seven times last season (4-3 ATS) and this will be the Pistons’ first game in that role this season.
#519 Washington Wizards at #520 Boston Celtics
Boston has won the last eight meetings, but the Wizards did cover the spread twice as a double-digit ‘dog last year. All four of last season’s meetings stayed under the total. This is the fourth-and-final game of a roadtrip for the Heat, who took down the Clippers in Los Angeles on Monday. Denver has won its first three home games by an average of 20.7 points per game.
#529 Oklahoma City Thunder at #530 Portland Trailblazers
Oklahoma City has won a whopping 16-straight meetings with the Blazers. Oklahoma City is on the second leg of a back-to-back after taking down the Clippers on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
