Los Angeles Clippers vs Toronto Raptors Betting Analysis
The Toronto Raptors travel to Los Angeles for an interconference showdown with the Clippers on Wednesday night.
The Clippers snapped a five game losing streak with a 135-129 home victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. The Raptors continued to alternate wins & losses with a 118-113 defeat on the road at the hands of the Denver Nuggets.
This will be the second and final game in a regular season series that Los Angeles leads 1-0 after winning 124-113 on the road in December. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:00 PM EST/7:00 PST as the nightcap of an ESPN doubleheader.
Clippers Look To Start A Win Streak
The Los Angeles Clippers moved past .500 at 34-33 after beating Memphis on Sunday. Free throws proved to be the difference maker as Los Angeles went 33-35 for 94% from the charity stripe while Memphis shot only 11-15 for 73%.
Paul George led all scorers with a 42 point, 11 rebound double-double. Kawhi Leonard also recorded a double-double with 34 points and 10 rebounds while Eric Gordon chipped in with 17 points off the bench.
The Clippers currently occupy the 8th seed in the Western Conference, 13 games behind the first place Nuggets but only two games from missing the play-in tournament altogether.
Los Angeles ranks 22nd in scoring with 112.7 points a game on 47% shooting. They sit at 14th in defensive rating and 13th in defensive scoring with 113 points allowed per game. Norman Powell is the only player listed on the injury report and he has been ruled out due to a hip injury.
Clock Ticking On Raptors
The Toronto Raptors fell to 32-34 on the season after losing in Denver on Monday. Ironically, both sides had the exact same number of takes and makes, going 43-86 for 50%.
Fred VanVleet led his team in scoring and assists with a 21 point, 14 assist double-double. Jakob Poeltl added 18 points and 9 rebounds while Pascal Siakam chipped in with 19 points and 4 assists.
The Raptors currently occupy the 9th seed in the Eastern Conference, only 2.5 games from missing the play-in tournament altogether.
Toronto is a well below average offense that ranks 23rd in scoring with 112.6 points a game on 45.5% from the field.
They sit at 18th in defensive rating but 7th in defensive scoring with 112.1 points allowed per game. The Raptors are sporting a clean injury report, a breath of fresh air nowadays.

The Los Angeles Clippers enter this contest as 2.5 point home favorites with a total set at 230. This is a critical game for both sides as both need every win they can get for playoff seeding.
This game is going to be a close contest throughout, as this should be a playoff type atmosphere. The Raptors will likely get off to a slow start after playing in the high altitudes of Denver on Monday.
The Clippers are 8-23 O/U at home this season with an average score of just 220 points. Neither team is particularly fast in terms of pace of play, with Toronto at 14th and Los Angeles at 21st.
This game feels like a real grind and I wouldn’t be surprised if neither team tops 100 points. Give me the under!!
