Cleveland Cavaliers vs Miami Heat Betting Analysis

The Miami Heat visit Cleveland for an Eastern Conference tilt with the Cavaliers on Tuesday night. The Cavs began a three game home stand by running roughshod over the Los Angeles Clippers 122-99 on Sunday afternoon. The Heat started a four game road trip with a 122-117 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday night.

This is the second of four games in a regular season series that Cleveland leads 1-0 after winning 113-87 at home against Miami on November 20th. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM EST/4:00 PST from Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, OH.

Cavaliers Look To Build Winning Streak

The Cleveland Cavaliers improved to 31-21 on the season after crushing the Los Angeles Clippers at home on Sunday.

The Cavaliers had a tremendous advantage from three-point land as they shot 20-33 for 60.6% from beyond the arc compared to a pathetic 2-19 for 10.5% from the Clippers.

Cedi Osman led all scorers with 29 points off the bench on an efficient 11-13 from the field including 7-7 from long distance. Darius Garland recorded a 16 point, 10 assist double-double while Jarrett Allen chipped in with 15 points and 8 rebounds.

The Cavaliers currently occupy the 5th spot in the Eastern Conference, 5.5 games behind the first place Celtics. Defense is definitely the Cleveland calling card as they sit #1 in defensive rating and #1 in defensive scoring with only 106.9 points allowed per game.

They are well below average in scoring at 26th with only 111.5 points a game on 48.4% from the floor. Kevin Love has been out with a back injury but is expected to play tonight.

Heat Hope For Bounce Back

The Miami Heat fell to 28-23 on the season after starting their four game road trip with a loss against Charlotte on Sunday. The Hornets dominated Miami on the boards with a 47-36 rebounding edge.

Jimmy Butler led his team in scoring with 28 points on an accurate 11-14 from the field. Tyler Herro was right behind him with 24 points while Bam Adebayo added 17 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds.

Miami currently occupies the 6th seed in the Eastern Conference, 2.5 games behind tonight’s opponent and only one game away from dropping to the play-in tournament. The Heat rank dead last in scoring with only 108.6 points per game on 45.3% shooting.

Like Cleveland, Miami is a defensive team that ranks 5th in rating and 2nd in scoring with only 108.4 points allowed per game. Gabe Vincent (ankle) is expected to play tonight while Omer Yurtseven, Duncan Robinson and Nikola Jovik all remain out with injuries.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs Miami Heat Prediction

The Cleveland Cavaliers enter this contest as 4 point home favorites with a total of 210.5. This is a matchup between two defensive minded teams that actually allow the least and second least points per game on the season.

While the Cavaliers aren’t a high scoring team, they are still better than dead last like Miami. The Cavaliers love some home cooking as they are 21-5 straight up at home and 17-8 against the spread as a home favorite this season.

Miami has also struggled on the road with a 10-13-1 ATS record. The Cavs are at full strength while the Heat may be playing without their leader Jimmy Butler.

This game is going to be a low scoring rock fight which is the only thing that gives me any pause as I fully expect a Cleveland victory. It may take some late free throws, but let’s back the Cavaliers to cover here.

Prediction: Cleveland Cavaliers -4 -110 Draftkings

That interest in motor sports turned into a desire to make money off the sport through fantasy contests and sports betting. Like most, he took his lumps when he first got started, but now he is one of the most respected NASCAR bettors in the industry. Andy has expanded that sports betting experience to become profitable in a number of other sports, transforming this interest from a side hobby to a major source of income.
