DWCS Week 10 Predictions
Wes Schultz -180 vs Mario Mingaj +133
Neither fighter is particularly polished, but this matchup should be entertaining while it lasts. Mingaj has three straight wins by triangle choke, but he tends to accept bottom position and relies on his opponents falling into submissions — that won’t fly against better competition. His striking is virtually non-existent.
Schultz isn’t great either, but he’s more competent everywhere, with slightly better hands and positional awareness. Expect violence early — the best play is the fight not to go the distance, with Schultz getting the win.
Azamat Nuftillaev -157 vs Jovan Leka +117
This fight screams chaos. Leka is the more dangerous striker, while Nuftillaev prefers to take opponents down, smother them, and hunt for ground-and-pound or submissions.
Both men are slow and have questionable cardio, meaning a finish is likely once fatigue sets in. Leka’s willingness to stand and throw gives him live underdog value, but the safest approach is betting this one not to go the distance.
Michael Oliveira -265 vs Victor Valenzuela +190
Expect fireworks. Valenzuela fights at a furious pace with heavy leg kicks and forward pressure, while Oliveira is the more technical striker who likes to stay at range and pick opponents apart. Neither man wrestles much, so this should be a stand-up war from the opening bell.
Valenzuela’s chaos could create early danger for Oliveira, but the Brazilian’s composure and technique give him the edge. Take the fight not to go the distance as the best bet — dog or pass on the moneyline.
Marwan Rahiki -186 vs Ananias Mulumba +140
This one should be a banger. Rahiki enters undefeated out of the elite HEX promotion, showcasing long, powerful striking and the ability to dominate on the mat with submissions and ground-and-pound.
Mulumba, meanwhile, brings relentless aggression — he throws heavy shots in the pocket and isn’t afraid to mix in scrambles or ground exchanges.
Both men are dangerous finishers, but their skill levels are evenly matched, so an under play feels risky. In what should be a chaotic and violent fight, the slight underdog Mulumba is the pick for his willingness to pressure and brawl inside.
Juan Diaz -157 vs Won Kwon +117
This matchup has fireworks written all over it. Diaz tends to be patient to a fault, often waiting too long to pull the trigger, which could hurt him on Contender Series where action matters.
Kwon will make sure this fight doesn’t stay slow — he’s aggressive, throws big volume, and thrives in chaos, though his striking defense leaves a lot to be desired.
Kwon’s long kicks and jabs can give Diaz trouble early, but his wide-open body and defensive lapses make him vulnerable to clean counters.
This could easily turn into a wild back-and-forth with a finish either way; Diaz to win inside the distance is the preferred angle.
DWCS Week 10 Main Event: Freddy Vidal vs Levi Rodrigues
This is one of the clearer mismatches on the Contender Series. Vidal’s story as a gym teacher who earned a win earlier this season was fun, but it came against a gassed-out opponent who made every mistake possible trying to wrestle him.
While Vidal can wrestle a bit, his striking is nearly non-existent, and he doesn’t have the athleticism or fight IQ to handle UFC-level competition.
Rodrigues, on the other hand, is a dangerous striker with real knockout power and solid composure in exchanges.
As long as he avoids early takedowns and doesn’t get reckless, Rodrigues should find the finish — fight not to go the distance is a strong play, with Rodrigues by KO as the pick.
