Home Run Prop Prediction 1: George Springer (+340)

There are a few Blue Jays that have had success off Yu Darvish in their respective career’s including George Springer going 6-18 with two home runs. He’s batting .333 in July with a hit in nine out of ten games including two home runs.

Springer has belted seven of his 13 home runs at home but has 20 more road at-bats than home. He also prefers facing right handed pitching batting .281 with nine of his 11 home runs.

With Springer we always get an advantage with him batting in the leadoff spot locking in four plate appearances and potentially five.

Darvish sports a 5.52 road ERA giving up seven of 11 total home runs to right-handed hitting but lefties have 50 more at-bats against him on the season.

Take Springer to hit a home run at +340 with other Blue Jays to consider are Brandon Belt (+350) who is 6-18 with two home runs off Darvish as well as Daulton Varsho (+450) who is 4-22 with two home runs off Darvish in his career as well.

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Matt Olson (+285)

Matt Olson and the Braves take on Ryne Nelson and the Diamondbacks after a whopping 29 total runs were scored in last night’s 16-13 win by Arizona. Olson has hit 26 of his 30 total home runs off right handed pitching with 16 of 30 coming at home.

Nelson’s splits are pretty consistent when going against lefties or righties but he has allowed seven home runs to each while accumulating 30 more at-bats against right-handed hitting.

Nelson went against this Braves team once already this season allowing three earned runs in 4.2 innings pitched but no home runs.

He has allowed four home runs over his last three starts and with Olson only hitting two home runs this month, he’s due for another very soon considering he had nine in July 2022.

The Braves first baseman is batting .326 this month with a .543 slugging percentage so the contact and power is there for him to help the Braves snap a 3-game losing streak tonight against the Diamondbacks.

Take Olson to hit a home run at +250 with other Braves to look at for a home run include Ozzie Albies (+400) and Austin Riley (+300).
