If Kyle Tucker wants his third consecutive 30-home run season he’s going to have to pick up the pace with only ten so far at almost the halfway point of the season.
He and the Astros get veteran Adam Wainwright who has allowed lefties to bat .398 off him with five home runs in 93 at-bats compared to the other three he’s given up to righties in 111 at-bats.
His total ERA ballooned to 6.56 after his tumultuous outing in London against the Cubs going three innings while allowing two home runs and seven earned runs in total. Seven of Tucker’s ten home runs have come against righties with nine of ten coming during night games.
Over his last five games Tucker is 7-20 with a home run and is batting over .300 for the month. It looks like the Astros will be without power hitting Alvarez for a little while longer so look for the power for tonight’s game to come from Tucker.
Take him to hit a home run at +400 with other Astros hitters to consider for a home run include Alex Bregman (+430) and Jose Altuve (+430).
Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Freddie Freeman (+400)
After batting .400 with a 1.184 OPS in May, Freddie Freeman has cooled off in June with a .241 average and .755 OPS.
He and the Dodgers get Chase Anderson and the Rockies for their series finale at Coors Field tonight with the Colorado righty allowing lefties to bat .297 off him with a .949 OPS and six home runs given up in 74 at-bats.
The other five home runs given up to righties have come in 91 at-bats on the season. Anderson’s ERA sits at 5.79 but it sat at just 1.31 entering June. He’s given up 16 earned runs including five home runs over his last 5.2 innings pitched against the Braves and Angels.
Freeman bats .324 against righties with five home runs and has hit nine of his 14 total home runs away from Dodger Stadium this season.
In his career Freeman is 4-14 against Anderson with a home run and has two multi-hit games in his last three played. Take Freeman to hit a home run tonight at +400 with other Dodgers hitters to look for a home run include J.D. Martinez (+330) and Mookie Betts (+330).
