Emilia Romagna Grand Prix Preview

The Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, commonly known as Imola, is a historic Formula 1 circuit located in Imola, Italy.

Measuring 4.909 km (3.050 miles) in length, the track runs counter-clockwise and features 19 challenging corners, including iconic sections like Tamburello, Acque Minerali, and Rivazza.

Known for its narrow layout and limited overtaking opportunities, Imola places a premium on qualifying performance and strategic race management.

The circuit has a storied past, having hosted the San Marino Grand Prix from 1981 to 2006 and the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix since 2020.

It is also remembered for the tragic events of 1994, when Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger lost their lives during the race weekend.

In recent years, Max Verstappen has found success here, securing victories in 2021, 2022, and 2024. The 2025 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix is scheduled for Sunday, May 18, with a 40% chance of rain and temperatures around 73°F (23°C), potentially adding an extra layer of complexity to the race.

Outside of Verstappen, McLaren and Ferrari, they don’t have competition if the weather is good and they don’t get caught up in accidents.

We said this last race that if the McLaren’s get out front clean, they’ll be ahead of everyone within a couple seconds of each other, and I don’t see why that would change.

In Miami, they were up +37 seconds on 3rd place, and they were within 4.6 seconds of each other. I expect the same here

Oscar Piastri +150

I’ll gladly take the guy who’s won 4 in a row at this price. He’s on the dominant team, and he makes way fewer mistakes than Norris.

Piastri has won the last 2 races from 4th and 2nd so he hasn’t needed the pole position to win races, and it goes to show how cool, calm and collected him and his team is, and he’s just much better on the start than Norris. Solid bet here.
