MLB Home Run Props Best Bet of the Day #1: Matt Olson (ATL) +340

There’s no way to sugarcoat it that Braves first baseman Matt Olson is in a bit of a slump as the Braves return home to take on the Rays.

The road trip didn’t do Olson any favors going just 2-23 in total so perhaps coming back to Atlanta will help the slugger get back to normal while sitting at 37 home runs on the season.

We get solid +340 odds for Olson to hit his home run prop due to his current slump, but tonight’s pitching matchup works in his favor.

Righty Freddy Peralta gets the start for Tampa Bay allowing 23 home runs in total this season with 15 of those coming on the road. He has allowed 17 of 23 home runs to left handed hitters like Olson and although Olson has only hit 17 of his 37 home runs at home, he sports a .265 batting average there compared to a .233 average on the road.

All-time against Peralta, Olson is 5-16 with two home runs with Peralta allowing three home runs combined across his last three starts.

MLB Home Run Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Nolan Arenado (ARI) +540

Nolan Arenado and the Diamondbacks look to extend their winning streak to four after last night’s 5-4 extra innings win at Kansas City as these two go at it again tonight.

Arenado’s 22 home runs this season are the most he’s had in one year since he had 26 for the Cardinals back in 2023 and he sits 25 home runs away from 400 for his career.

He hasn’t exactly been crushing the ball as of late but did hit a home run in Sunday’s win and eight of his 22 home runs have come since the start of August.

Veteran Michael Wacha takes the mound for the Royals who has given up 24 home runs in total this season with 15 of them coming at home.

Of the 24 home runs given up he has also allowed 16 of those to right handed batters while allowing a .513 slugging percentage compared to a .334 slugging percentage allowed to left handed batters.

These two have also come across each other quite a bit in their respective careers with Arenado going 11-22 with four home runs all-time against Wacha and is also 4-10 with a home run against reliever Craig Kimbrel.

Wacha gave up two home runs in his last start which was at home against the Marlins so let’s take valuable +540 odds on Arenado to hit a home run tonight with other Diamondbacks batters to consider for home run props being Ketel Marte (+350) and Corbin Carroll (+370).
