We get to pick on Washington starting pitcher Miles Mikolas again today as the Nationals and Phillies play the final game of a four-game set in Philadelphia tonight. Mikolas is tied for the second most home runs given up this season by any pitcher with 26 and half of those coming against left handed hitters.

We’ll take a shot with Bryce Harper to hit his home run prop tonight with the Phillies first baseman batting .282 and slugging .603 against right handed pitching this season.

Harper has hit half of his 24 home runs at home and although he’s been somewhat quiet since the all-star break, over the last seven days he’s batting .250 to go along with a .600 slugging percentage.

Against Mikolas all-time Harper is 9-26 with two home runs with the Washington starter allowing six home runs combined across his last three starts (13.2 IP).

At home Harper is slugging .510 with Mikolas allowing a .293 batting average and a .502 slugging percentage to left handed hitters.

With that take Harper at +285 to hit a home run tonight with other Phillies batters to look at for a home run prop includes Kyle Scwarber (+210) and Alec Bohm (+560).

MLB Home Run Prop Best Bet of the Day #2: Willson Contreras (BOS) +350

Note that Willson Contreras exited yesterday’s game with an illness and should he be back today we have a juicy matchup to take advantage of as the White Sox and Red Sox battle again at Fenway Park.

Luis Castillo makes his White Sox debut tonight after spending the last four and a half seasons in Seattle with Contreras doing consistent damage at the plate against him.

All-time Contreras is 10-22 with four doubles and a home run with Castillo giving up a whopping seven home runs combined across his last three starts (17 IP).

It has been a down year for Castillo giving up 12 of his 16 home runs on the road and a start under his belt against Boston this season going four innings while allowing seven hits and four earned runs.

This season at home Contreras is batting .321 and slugging .582 compared to on the road batting .254 and slugging .497. Over the last seven days he’s batting .357 and slugging .571 and over the last 30 days batting .309 and slugging .527.

The Red Sox as a team are hot so let’s strike while the iron is hot taking Contreras at +350 to hit a home run (if he’s active). Other Red Sox batters to consider for a home run prop includes Wilyer Abreu (+300) and Jarren Duran (+420).
