MLB Home Run Prop Best Bet of the Day #1: Griffin Conine (MIA) +360

Marlins outfielder Griffin Conine continues to show why he should be in the everyday starting lineup although the team has lost seven straight games.

We’ll take Conine to hit his home run prop tonight as the Marlins play the second of a three game series in Houston. Conine has just two singles combined in his last two games but just before that he had a home run in three straight games with four in total this month while slugging .571.

Houston sends a struggling Tatsuya Imai to the mound allowing three home runs combined across his last two starts (5 IP). Conine is a left handed batter and against lefties this season Imai is allowing a .268 batting average and .472 slugging percentage including seven of his nine home runs allowed compared to a .169 average and .268 slugging percentage allowed to righties.

Conine has been a better hitter at home than on the road this season, but he has hit three of his seven total home runs away from Miami and all seven home runs have come off right handed pitching while slugging .615 against them compared to a .154 slugging percentage against lefties.

Take advantage of a favorable pitching matchup tonight taking Conine at +360 to hit his home run prop. Other Marlins batters to consider for a home run prop includes Kyle Stowers (+300) and Heriberto Hernandez (+420).

MLB Home Run Prop Best Bet of the Day #2: Jake McCarthy (COL) +560

We get excellent odds on Rockies outfielder Jake McCarthy to hit a home run tonight as the Rockies host the Nationals once again. McCarthy hasn’t been known as much of a power hitter in years past but he does have ten home runs in 87 games with his previous season high being eight in 2024 with the Diamondbacks in 142 games.

Five of McCarthy’s ten home runs have been hit in the past 30 days while batting .330 and slugging .600 during that time. The Nationals send righty Miles Mikolas to the mound who has historically been known for giving up home runs including this season giving up 20 across 94.1 innings.

Mikolas has given up two home runs in each of his last two road starts and we should see some of the same tonight with tonight’s start coming at Coors Field.

McCarthy has been a much better hitter at home this season batting .323 and slugging .576 including seven of his ten home runs compared to road games batting .285 and slugging .438. Although the Rockies are in the basement of the NL West once again, McCarthy has rounded into a reliable leadoff hitter for Colorado in which he should net five at-bats in tonight’s game.

Take McCarthy at +560 to hit a home run with other Rockies hitters to look at for a home run prop includes Hunter Goodman (+164) and Mickey Moniak (+250).
